John Wayne Bobbitt (born March 23, 1967 in Buffalo New York) and Lorena Leonor Gallo of Bobbitt (born in 1970 in Bucay, Ecuador) are a U.S. couple (married June 18, 1989) who became known after a fact in 1993 when Lorena cut a part of the penis of her husband with a kitchen knife.
The incident
The night of June 23, 1993, Lorena Bobbitt cut the penis of her husband with a kitchen knife while they were in bed in their house in Manassas, Virginia. She then fled with the sliced piece that throws it out the window of his car. The police still manages to find the piece that will be repaired by surgery.
In his statements to the police, Lorena said that it had cut the penis of her husband because he was masturbating and that he did not want to give it to orgasm. Emphasis was also put on the fact, that he was violent, often beat her, and it was forced to have an abortion.
At the trial in 1994, it is not recognized guilty but is still forced to spend 45 days in a psychiatric hospital.
John, he is acquitted in September 1993 of a complaint for sexual assault on his wife.
Since the incident
Lorena and John divorced in 1995, after six years of marriage.
Badgers, a French group of music, composed a song named the Dromedary which in a twisted and humorous manner tells the story of what happened was John Bobbit.
A replica of Fight Club is a reference to this fact: “it could have been pire… a woman could cut you the pine during your sleep and the rock through the window of a car.”.
Weird Al Yankovic (well known for his parodies of clips in the US) has adopted and staged this fact various sordid, as well as a few others who had news of the time, in his song “Headline news”.
In the Eureka TV series, a fact it refers to the fictional virus “Lorena Bobbitt virus” and says: “It cuts your hard disk in floppy disks 3 inches and-half”, what does laugh.
John
Before his operation, John becomes pornographic actor, to finance its operation. It runs in three films: John Wayne Bobbitt… Uncut, Buttman at Nudes a Poppin 2, and Frankenpenis(produit_par_Benoit_Reuze).
